Overview

WildCharge's patented wire-free electric power technology, developed since 2001, is reliable, versatile, simple and safe. 

Our technology would safely work for virtually any mobile device - truly ideal for mobile professionals who will soon be able to trade in their multiple chargers and adapters for one streamlined package they can carry and use everywhere. WildCharge is the first - and as yet the only company - to offer such technology.

Our wire-free power solution is comprised of the WildCharger™ pad, an ultra thin charging pad that can be produced using a variety of materials, rigid or flexible. It may be placed on any surface, such as a desk or airplane seat tray. 

The WildCharger pad has no buttons and controls - simply plug it to the nearest electric outlet or other power source and it will be ready to deliver power.

The WildCharger pad can provide full power to charge and operate even the most power hungry devices such as laptop computers.  Moreover, when limited number electric outlets are available (as is often the case when traveling), WildCharger pad is a time-saver - it allows you to charge multiple devices with varying power needs - all at one time!

The charging pad's counterpart components, the WildCharger adapters, readily attaches to or is integrated into mobile electronic devices. A device that is enabled with our technology can be placed anywhere and at any orientation on the charging pad and it will receive instantaneous, uninterrupted full power to charge and operate. 

How it works

When an enabled electronic device such as a cell phone is placed on the WildCharger pad, electrical contacts on the device' adapter come in direct contact with the pad's surface. Power is then transferred from the energized pad's surface to the cell phone.  Such conductive solution provides efficient and safe power transfer (basically, 100% efficiency!) without generating harmful radiation or magnetic fields.  

The geometries of the surface and device contacts are designed such that in any position the device is placed on the surface a closed electrical circuit can be formed between the surface and the device, powering and charging the device. We call these 'free positioning' geometries.

The WildCharger pad is smart enough to detect and distinguish between objects placed on it. When the pad detects an object that is not WildCharge-enabled, it will not attempt to power such object, and will instead gracefully shutdown if it already powers compatible devices. Once such an object is removed from the pad's surface, the pad shall resume charging if and when compatible devices placed on it.

Our solution is environmentally friendly - it eliminates the need to dispose of bulky and potentially environmentally hazardous AC adapters and chargers once you upgrade to new devices (both old and new devices may now charge and power on the WildCharge pad.) It can also be shown to offer energy savings compared to the multiple AC adapters and chargers it may now replace.
6. Our solution is safe - as no magnetic fields are used to power devices, our solution is built safe to consumers, equipment, and data stored on magnetic media such as hard drives. The WildCharge technology does not interfere with the operation of electronic equipment, has no impact on reception quality, and emits no harmful radiation.
7. Our technology is simple, which means low cost of integrating it into devices during manufacture. Its integration requires minimal electrical and mechanical changes to electronic devices. Cost of integration is a key barrier-to-entry when it comes to dealing with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs); WildCharge delivers solutions at a cost that manufacturers can afford to widely adopt and integrate - a cost that is competitive with standard charger costs.

Once manufacturers build in our technology, their products will no longer require fitted adapters to work with the WildCharger pads, thus further increasing their ease of use.
